Members of SA Quilters recognise the traditional owners of the country where we live. We celebrate the diversity of Indigenous people and their enduring culture and connections to the land and waters of Australia.
Quilters’ Guild of South Australia Inc (SA Quilters) was established in 1984 and has grown to encompass around 500 individual members and 90 affiliated city and country quilting groups. Membership is open to anyone with an interest in quilt making.

News Update
SA Quilters is so proud of our members for their generous support for the 2024 charity, Kickstart for Kids. An amazing amount of products were donated by the members plus $1,330 was collected in cash at the Christmas meeting. In addition $7,000 was raised for Kickstart for Kids through the sale of Festival of Quilts raffle tickets and a contribution from SA Quilters. And Lessa and Faye raised $4,070 through the sale of Quilt Kits. Such a wonderful and generous group of members – with a total of $12,400 in cash and heaps of products to support kids in need.
SA QUILTERS MEMBERSHIP 2025
Thank you for being a member of our wonderful quilting family. Our membership year is from January to December. Individual members renewing membership before the end of January 2025 will be in the running to win this fabulous Yazzii Supreme Organiser valued at $139 donated by Yazzii. To be drawn at the February 2025 meeting.

QUILT ENCOUNTER 2025
Lessa Siegele Scholarship
Applications are now open for 2025 – full information and Nomination Forms are available on the Quilt Encounter page here– closing date for these applications is the 31st March 2025.
Tutors 2025
Tutors interested in being part of Quilt Encounter 2025 will need to have submissions in by the 31st January 2025. A brief outline of your previous patchwork/quilting teaching experience and contact details to be included. Suggested workshop options, along with applicable photos and an outline of techniques included for each class, should be submitted to Kerryn Brand (Tutor and Workshop co-ordinator) on email Kerryn Brand.

MEETINGS INFORMATION
Evening Meetings
Are held at Burnside Community Centre on the first Thursday of each month from February to December at 7.15pm for 8pm start. Parking onsite with no time restrictions.
Cost: $5 for members, $10 for visitors, affiliate and non-members.

Members and visitors will have time to meet friends, indulge in retail therapy at the attending quilt shop, visit the library or to drop off Quilts of Love, our community quilt program. There is a guest speaker at each meeting, raffle prizes to win, SA Quilters sub-committee reports and an inspiring Show and Tell.
POLICY: Catastrophic Days
If a Government Department declares a Catastrophic Day, all SA Quilters organised activities will be cancelled.
Did you know?
Your Quilt group can showcase your raffle quilts at SA Quilters monthly meetings. This gives you the opportunity to sell more raffle tickets and advertise your upcoming exhibition. To book in your quilt please contact Denise Johnston by email on Community Quilts.
